Osvětimany
Hradisko of St. Clement
Hradisko of St. Clement is one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in the Czech lands, located 4 km northwest of the village of Osvětimany. In ancient times, people referred to this area as "Klimentek" due to its connection with the Cyril and Methodius tradition – Saints Cyril and Methodius are said to have brought the remains of Pope St. Clement to this place. A wooden chapel stands here today, built by citizens of Koryčany in place of the original chapel from 1880. Nearby is the well of St. Gorazd.
Kazatelna
Kazatelna is a sandstone rock formation, on top of which a cross was erected in 1972. According to tradition, the site served as a preaching place for Archbishop Methodius of Moravia and later for Augustinian monks from the nearby monastery. The rock is 8 meters high and offers a wide view over the Kyjovka (Stupava) Valley, the opposite ridge of the Chřiby Hills, the ruins of Cimburk Castle, and part of the Koryčany Reservoir. It is located on a well-frequented hiking trail and is a popular destination.
